Paushali Saha is a passionate storyteller and wildlife cinematographer based in Dooars, With a keen focus camerawork and a dedication to capturing the essence of wildlife conservation, Paushali's journey in storytelling began with a deep fascination for the power of narratives to connect people from all walks of life.
Paushali has extensive experience not only in wildlife cinematography but also as a Director and Editor in the scripted film industry, as well as the commercial and advertising sectors. Whether behind the camera as a Director of Photography or crafting compelling narratives as a Director, Paushali thrives on bringing stories to life with creativity and impact, excelling particularly in the editing process to create seamless and engaging narratives.
Beyond their media endeavors, Paushali enjoys exploring new coffee spots, delving into literature, and capturing the beauty of sunsets through the lens of their camera. With an insatiable curiosity and a collaborative spirit, Paushali looks forward to embarking on new storytelling ventures and creating meaningful experiences for audiences worldwide.
Paushali's work has a particular focus on science-driven conservation stories and long lens camerawork. They are experienced in researching and filming a variety of animal behavior and conservation-based stories for both broadcast and NGOs. Paushali has worked with a diverse range of clients, including Aga Khan, Al Jazeera, Moonpeak Films, Zoological Survey of India, National Mission for Himalayan Studies, and more.
Their work has been recognized and screened at the Wildlife Conservation Film Festival's New Work Showcase, highlighting their commitment to using their craft to raise awareness and promote conservation efforts for some of the most precious and endangered species in the world.
One of Paushali's strengths is their ability to work in remote and lesser-known locations. They have filmed in some of India's most pristine and untouched wilderness areas, such as the Snow Leopards in Spiti Valley and the forests of the Eastern Himalayas. Paushali is also experienced in working with lesser-known species of wildlife, such as the newly described species of macaque, the Sela Macaque, which is found only in a small region of Arunachal Pradesh.
